I think im going to try the Mattabesset this Saturday or Sunday if I dont go somewhere more local. Just wondering whatn you guys usually throw there this time of year? I plan on sticking with jerkbaits and jigs but any specific colors will help. Also if I do go then anybody is welcome to join Ill most likely be going in my kayak and what is the best launch in terms of shortest distance I plan on being lazy haha _________________ Top 5 Favorite lures: Boo-yah Boo jig, Zoom Horny Toad, Rapala Husky Jerk, Berkley Power Worm, Senkos |

behind dunkin donuts in cromwell, they actually just redid the little makeshift launch into a nice little gravel trail wide enough to carry jon boats too, the water was high last weekend with easy access |

You might want to check a tide table, too. You don't want to launch and head downriver at high tide, and then struggle back upriver at low tide. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

i fished the mattabasset from east berlin to DnD in cromwell last week as well and didnt have much luck, jimbos right, your are pry better off fishing the lower mattabasset from dunkin down to the mouth, and its really easy to launch now as well since they fixed it, i can walk my 10' jon boat down the gravel path and launch with no problem |
