I fished the winch today, no problem getting on at the ramp. I am doubtful that will be the case come sunday, however; the upper parking area is out of the direct sunlight and getting on there is usually no problem. We have, in past years, used a coleman jon boat to get on once the edges are gone and let me tell you it works like a charm. Just push pole yourself 30' or so onto the ice, have your buddys pull boat back, load gear, then you pull boat to you. they get in and you pull them onto ice. now you have the whole lake to yourself |
