Fairly new to the state and I am looking for some intelligence on where launch my kayak for bass and blues. Live in east Hampton and have never fished from any beaches in CT. In the process of trying to sell my freshwater boat and trying to find some productive saltwater that I can target bass and blues from my kayak. Not looking for honey holes, just a push in the right direction. Any help would be appreciated. |

By bass, you mean striped bass, right? From East Hampton, I'd start with Hamburg Cove. You could launch in the inner cove at the crude ramp next to the Hamburg Cove Yacht Club. There's a relatively deep channel between the inner and outer coves that I'm fairly sure holds schoolie stripers. I wish I had been able to confirm that for you, but I haven't taken the time to get out there, yet. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |
