Headed out to a local pond near my house yesterday ( south/central ct) Measured just over 4 inches with almost 3 being clear ice and the rest white. Got out on the ice around 330pm. Was using mealworms on a 8th oz jig. the bite was on within the first 2 min. Ended up with over 20 fish total. A few nice crappie and bluegill and a nice 11/2 - 2lb LMB. Stayed till dark then called it quits but overall great day on the ice

Nice! I think my local pond might have been screwed up by the logging they did last Summer along the brook that feeds it. There was only three inches of ice when I drilled it last Wednesday. I'll check it again this week.
