I had only one hour to fish, but I had to go out. I spread out 8 holes and got a strong fish on right away. Probably a bass, maybe a monster perch(the pond only has bass perch & gills). But, I was worried he was gonna snap my 2# test and loosened the drag. He hopped off. After no more luck I popped in another 8 holes and got a hit and pulled in a gill. Pulled in 2 more on consecutive "casts"(1 gill and 1 perch). So, 16 holes, and all three came out the same one.....that's how it seems to go ice fishing. I wish I could have stayed longer to see if I could locate more of their buddies. Seems like when they're hitting the best, I always have to leave.

Winter goal: jig 200 fish
- 46 down, 154 to go
