I've been thinking about taking a trip down to the shoreline this week or maybe to one of those 'tidal' rivers closer to the shore. I've been to meigs point out on the jetty by foot at hammoneset before in the summer and had a great time! just not sure what the fishing is like down there this time of year, or what fish are around in the colder months Confused

any tips and info would be much appreciated! thanks in advance!

Not much out there this time of year.Best bet is the tidal rivers for white perch, schoolies or sea-runs.Hammoneset or east river are in that area.

About the only saltwater game in town right now is cod, and its the time to head to Block and Coxes ledge. Lots of open party boats leave daily out of Point Judith RI. I've done we'll on the Island Current boats. Otherwise, it's what Avidangler said or ice.
