Hey everyone there is "WHAT I CALL" safe ice out there(3-4" of black w/ 1-2" of white on top)...some would disagree with those thicknesses being safe...whatever stay home then. More fish for me. it is on the west side of the state. No I'm not gonna tell you where. Do your homework...I had to. We had a decent day. 15 or so bass, one over 4lbs, 5 or 6 pickerel, dozen Calico bass and some bluegills. We put in about 10 hours. Fish came in waves. Pickerel in the morning, bass late morning/noon/early afternoon, calicos and bluegills late afternoon into dark. Most pickerel and bass came on tip-ups with medium large shiners in about 10 fow about a foot and half off the bottom, with some on jigs w/ wax worms. Calicos and blues came on mostly jigs with wax worms(bright colors and glow jigs) some calicos did hit tip ups with small shiners. I will try to get a picture of the bass up. I'm beat from the late new year and early morning. Just wanted to pass the word on that some places are fishable and how I fished them today. Have a great new year everyone. _________________ You can play on your computer and hang out with your girlfriend if you want....Im gonna go fishin. |

We got one good sized pickerel. I would say around 2.5 to 3...but they are so hard to guess weight. My buddy did get a bluegill that weighed in at a true 1lb 8oz which is the biggest I have ever seen. The thing was a beast and he is bringing it to ct outfitters tomorrow morning for a official weight cause we kept it alive. _________________ You can play on your computer and hang out with your girlfriend if you want....Im gonna go fishin. |
