Went to a local pond in newtown ct today after school with my dad. Ice was 2-4 inches and fished for an hour. Caught two perch but it was very hard because we couldnt find a spot deeper than 5 feet. I always thought this place got to atleast 10 feet but it was so shallow! Im going to try a reservoir in danbury tomorrow for some crappie and pregnant yellow perch. When my dad checked yesterday he said the reservoir had 1-2 inches that would break if walked on so hopefully its made alot of ice especially since i hear its supposed to get down to single digits tonight! _________________ YouTube Channel: NorthEastFisherman |
