Did any more come of the story from the father who shot his son on his neighbors (sisters) yard?

The story was posted up here earlier in the year

The latest article I found indicates that the police and the State's Attorney still haven't concluded their investigation, although nothing suggests that the State's attorney would file any criminal charges against the father:
