It was slow in Fairfield the last day or two so I decided to head to the Housy and check out the action! Boy was I glad I did. I had my best bass total of this year. I landed 9 stripers near Stratford from 12"-24". There seemed to be two sizes. I caught 4 around 22"-24" and another four around 12"14" and one in the middle around 18". Wow! I caught the biggest fish on my second cast.
After I caught the first two things slowed down and I thought about moving spots. I said I'd give it another 3 casts, On the third I get a giant hit and miss. I decide to stay and land another 7 bass in the next hour. I'm glad I stayed. All fish except one were caught on my small chrome popper! I had had problems with misses lately. I switched and sharpened my hooks. What a difference, I landed 9 of 12 hits. Here's the rest of the fish.

I feel like PECO showing all my fish(I enjoy his posts), but I had my camera, took the pics, so here they are.

Nice, I was planning on heading around there after work but I noe have a crapload of firewood being delivered. Maybe I can get that done quick and head over there but I think by then I be into a crappy tide.

I would go. It looks like a good day-overcast like yesterday. Yesterday I fished 4pm-6pm, low tide was at 3pm. Good Luck if you go!

Nice. Might have to trek down to the AS before the storm hits.

Glad you beat the storm which may put an end to river fishing for the season.
