Before fishing Bunnells Pond I started off at the ballfields on the Pequonnock around 2pm.
Stuck with my trusty glass minnow Husky Jerk HJ-6 as I worked my way downstream. Never got any hits and didn't seem to have followers even though it was tough to see cause of the sky.
Later after Bunnells Pond I went to the Wonderland of Ice just after 5pm. Hit my 2 usual spots and lures I played with included glass minnow Husky Jerk HJ-6, helsinki shad HJ-6, and brown trout Flat Rap FLR-6.
Caught a short largemouths with the FLR-6 and had 2 other hits with one feeling like a trout.
Then headed over to the lower tidal area at Glenwood Park. Saw work being done there and the city had 3 poles or pillars at the top of the small dam with 1 having a green string or rope tied to it leading over to the top of the Choppsey Hill Rd tunnel. I wasn't able to fish the side I always fish on because of work being done on the ground too so I went to the tennis court side.
Had 2 small hits on the FLR-6 and nothing was interested in the HJ-6.
Called it a day just before 6pm. |
