As of now, Bridgeport Harbor buoy is reading water surface temp of 67.8 degrees. No signs of bigger fish around. Snappers still feeding on the silversides.
Bigger fish seam to be out in the open and in the interior Western Sound as of now, for us in the Southwestern part of the state. Fishing is currently either vessel or wading on a long reef or sandbar.
Last year around this time I was already into taylors, cocktails, and a few close to 10 pounds at Seaside Park and Penfield Reef. 2010 is when the bite didn't pick up til Columbus Day weekend and I was into topwater blues and stripers til mid November.
Think we might be waiting until Columbus Day weekend before the bite really picks up? |

Actually for me thr bite picked up good last weekend. I picked up 2 decent stripers and 2 blues in a few hours but that was wading on a beach but honestly I didnt need the waders as all of them about 20' out on plugs. Im hoping it wasnt just a lucky night!!!! _________________ There's a fine line between fishing....
