Started fishing Mill Pond Broad Brook about 10:30am. The temperature was cool and windy. Partly cloudy skies but the sun peaked through often. There's a weedy area near the entrance. I used a 1/8oz chartreuse rooster tail and worked across this bass pad. I'm not much of a bass fisherman but I had the most fun fishing today that I can remember in a while. I caught roughly 12 bass, 10 of which were immature with two being photo worthy. The bigger two put up a great fight and made my day. Mill Pond isn't the best place to fish but it's my default get a line in the water pond. Never had this much action there but I guess I was at the right spot at the right time using the right lure

I used to fish from the phone company area on main street. Water seems like a deeper there. The summer would get tough in that area though with all the geese and geese poop there. I know the area where the "launch" area is on the right. I've caught bass, crappie, trout and sunfish there. |

Cooler day/nights/waters will bring a nice uptick in bass fishing really soon...or today in your instance. Great job. |

I hope they all grow up to be fatties. So long as others catch and release in a timely manner. I saw a guy pull out a large 3-4 lb once earlier this year which he kept |
