Woohoo, my first report! Took a vacation day from work today; ran some errands in the morning and had an hour and a half to kill before some family from Florida was coming over, so I decided to hit the water in Hamden. Since I don't have a boat, I fished the shore.

I threw out 4" Green Senko wacky style for about 10 minutes with no luck; then finally... Boom! I knew I had something big and he put up quite a fight. When I got him in, I immediately knew I got my personal best LMB -- about a 19" LMB Very Happy :

Sorry for the awful pictures; the lighting was bad and I haven't mastered taking pictures on my new phone.

I fished for a little while and didn't get any hits, so I decided to switch to a 4" Pumpkinseed Senko. Didn't have much luck until 20 or so minutes later when another bass took it hard. Ended up being 15.5" LMB:

Alright, I've got 2 so far around 40 minutes in and I continue to throw the pumpkinseed senko to no luck. So, at this point, I'm about an hour or so in, I decide to switch it up a bit from throwing Senko.

I decided to use a Rapala Dives-To 06 (Baby Bass) crankbait and on my first throw, I pull in another LMB (~11"):

After another 15 or so minutes, I switched to a Rapala Crankin' Rap, but didn't have any hits. I packed in after 3 LMB and an hour and 20 minutes. I couldn't do that sitting at my desk programming!

All in all, a very enjoyable day and Senko made me a believer!
