Went to my favorite place today, East Twin. Arrived around 10:00 and left at 5:00pm. Livelined shiners and let the heavy winds blow us acroos the lake. Managed (2) Browns, both around 17" and (2) fat Yellow Perch. Not bad considering most of the day was spent tubing with the family and friends. The water almost appeared to be "turning over", but this seems too early. |

We hit Highland last week and notice brown water. A friend has a contact with a DEP biologist, So we asked. He said algae die off is what might causing the brown water due to water cooling. It takes much lower temps for the lakes to turn over.
We might head there next weekend, Hopefully it has settled out by then. _________________ PB LMB 9.3LBS Winchester Lake

I was actually going to go to Highland so I didn't have to drive so far, but decided on Twin when I found out about the water condition. |
