Stopped in at weathersfield cove the other day and the seagulls sure loved the topwater i was throwing. A seagull was the last thing i was looking to hook, so had to keep one eye on the sky at all times Tide was high and on its way out, tried under the bridge and where the channel meets the river with no luck. I saw some crappie in a few of the bucket folks buckets so tied on a small suspending silver minnow and got a very small lmb. One fish better than none, and blew off a little steam after work so win-win. Most people I see are using live bait there, anyone else had good luck in the cove? _________________ Fishing is like a stack of Hungry Man Flapjacks, If you don't have any syrup there better be some jam in the cupboard.

Do you fish from shore? I work in Hartford and its a nice spot to hit the water and still be home on time for dinner Havn't had much luck in the cove from shore, did hit a nice bass out on the river that was in some grass past the second blowdown if you walk out from the cove. I've tried top water and some swim jigs, but i've caught it where the tide was low two of the three times I have tried there. _________________ Fishing is like a stack of Hungry Man Flapjacks, If you don't have any syrup there better be some jam in the cupboard.

I fish from boats in the river, to be honest we always drive right by the area you described, the back shoreline near the highway is most productive |
