Started slow. Hung a right outa the launch and hit the weeds to start. Hit a two pounder on a Spook with in five minutes. Thinking banner Saltonstall day. Not!!!!! Fished the whole shore to the upper bay. Picked up two more on a white 4" Senko whacky rigged. Then nothing for about two hours. Headed over to the cliffs where the drop off goes to 60'. Willing to try anything I whacky rigged a 4" brown fat spider grub. First pitch picked up a 1 1/2 pounder. Then nothing. Fourty five minutes to go before the lake closes the boat rental for the day we hit the weed beds to the right of the launch.
Using a white Trigger X Frog we bang three 3 pounders in less than ten minutes. We finally figure out the technique and it's time to pack up.
Overall was a good day but not the usual Saltonstall day I'm used to. _________________ Don't hold your farts in! They travel up your spine to your brain and thats where shitty ideas come from. |

Sometimes it's just that time of the day. Nice way to end it for sure. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

Saltonstall can be so damn dissatisfying and frustrating this time of year. Unless you fish the drop offs weedless lures are what your limited to. _________________ You know it was a good day when your thumb is all scratched up. |
