Ive used a cast net for quite a while to catch golden shiners and never seem to get a lot. I know theres a school where im throwing it and im curious if theres a certain depth i should be closing the net. I experiment with closing it right at the surface,letting it sink deep, and everywhere in between and i still cant be successful. Many guys tell me they will catch 20 at a time but i cant seem to find whats wrong with me.
