After paying close attention to the hourly forecast and radar for an hour, it was about 5:45pm when I decided there wasn't gonna be anything developing around the area until late night. Headed down to Remington.

There was a chunking crowd there when I got to Remington around 6:15pm. Some were catching keeper shoreline porgies and some were going for the taylors. 3 others were throwing the snapper rig.

I stuck with the flake blue MXR-13 that was working for me last time. I had no choice but to cast out towards the UI docks.

Later a crowd left so I had room to cast into the main area. It wasn't until 7:45pm or 8pm the bite turned on. Started seeing bunker and silversides jumping out of the water and smelled the fish making their way in.

One of the usuals was there and he was throwing a silver black Long A. He was into the taylors before me. The MXR-13 wasn't doing anything for me this time.

Once the usual caught 2 taylors and lost 1 with the Bomber, I switched over to a silver SXR-10. Once the usual had caught 3 and lost 1, I finally hit a taylor around 8:15pm. I had 2 other hits and caught 1 more while the usual with his Long A caught a total of 5, lost 3, and had 4 hits.

Hit the road just before 9pm.

Rapala was outdone by Bomber this time Sad Other than the day in May when I caught my first blue of the year, this was the only other time other saltwater fishermen and lures outdid me and Rapala.

From the action going on, it seemed like the mosquitoes were thicker than the taylors Rolling Eyes
