Headed up to Twin Brooks Park Sunday afternoon. Arrived around 2pm.
I started by playing topwater with a bullfrog Rebel Frog R but no signs of swirls.
Once I got to an area that had not much weeds, I played with a number of Rapalas and a Strike King Mini King. Certain lures fish were showing interest in were gold florescent red F-7, custom painted sunset tiger J-7, custom painted purple nurple FLR-8, and clown FLR-6.
As I moved from spot to spot playing with the lures that showed interest, I caught a 15" cookie cutter just over a pound that had a small fish in its belly. That was caught with the F-7. Also caught a dinky largemouth and a 7" bluegill with the FLR-6. Had a number of hits and lost 2 small fish with the FLR-6.
Hit the road just before 6pm |

Put in an hr after work last night from 6-7.
Got one 17" LMB on a purple senko. Missed one other hookset. Pretty fun on some ultralight tackle. |
