I have been ice fishing pretty regulary this year with three of my buddies. we live out of state and attend school at ccsu. Even though the out of state license went up to 80 bucks we still go out just to get out of the apt. We usually go to crystal lake in ellington which is usually pretty slow and most recently we went to highland lake and mt tom pond. diffrent lakes same results. the best we did was some trout and salmon at crystal lake. i have heard good things about hogsback and that is where we are going to try next as long as the ice is safe, but other than that does anyone have any lakes that are better than others for trout through the ice?

Candlewood Lake & Squantz Pond are both good hardwater trout areas along with West Hill.
