Hey guys, new guy here. While patently freaking out awaiting the upcoming fishing season I wanted to show you guys something I just made for all the bait trappers here. I use a Gee's G40 Minnow trap and the bread in my brackish waters always rises to the top. The mummichogs then eat the bread from the top of the trap and don't go in it. Last season I took a shoe lace and tied the bread down and it worked OK. I wanted something better. I made a prototype bread trap to put inside the minnow trap so the bread wont be easily stolen from the minnows! I just thought I'd share!
Just open the spring loaded top and toss in a few slices of bread.
Here is the trap I use.
My custom bucket air system
My results.
Some big boys in there!
I have an HD under water camera I used to film the feasting but there are still some kinks to work out with that.
Now I need to buy a sweet bass boat! |
