From my understanding you can have max 6 tip ups and no jig rod in hand
OR
5 TIP UPS AND ONE jigging rod
is this correct?
Does it matter how many rods I bring in my sled though?
I like having one for each lure I am going to use 1st which means 3 - 4 rods max _________________

You are correct on the 6 tip ups, or 5 plus a jigging rod. Doesn't matter how many rods you bring, only counts what's in the water. |

Correct. It's an aggregate of devices being actively used. If you have a jigging rod in a holder with bait dangling in the water, that also counts as a device. |

Also, if you have kids under 16, they are allowed 6 tip ups without a license also. Obviously needs to be old enought "tend his own traps". They changed that rule from 2 to 6 this year. |
