Got out for just over a half hour today to Dayton Pond after baseball so I put on my Rapala suspending jerk and casted out...after a few casts I got my first but then nothing else so I tried a number of other things with no luck. This led me to lose yet another spinnerbait...I lose do many of those damn things and I'm sick of shelling out dough to replace them. Anyways I put the suspending jerk back on and while reeling and pausing a fish took it but didn't hit it...it just kind of grabbed it so I thought I had some weeds but as soon as it surfaced I saw it was a good sized bass...at this point it gave one good yank and got off with ease since I never set the hook.

cabelas always has spinnerbaits from .99 to 1.49 on one of their end displays... you should pick up a dozen or so. |

Any Walmart also has 1$ spinnerbaits, that's always the way to go when shore fishing. They have pretty much any color patter you want. Then you can pick up 10 and not spend a lot of dough. Keep it up. |

If your losing them to line strength I suggest switching to braid. I just did and man Im having much better luck at ripping the lures through the weeds. _________________ There's a fine line between fishing....

Sounds like what i may do to get my skitter walk UNLESS ct_bassman buys me one =P
The best part about buzzbaits and especially spinners is that you CAN find / buy decent working ones for $1.
I have had more skirts fall apart then lost in trees, The rubber band the holds some of my spinnerbaits skirts on turn to goo or dry rot and snap (some of these are brand name.)
If you dont have many spinner baits, go to walmart or any where else who has them for $1 and pick a few up.
Do some research on size and color, then go spend $5 -$10 on some dollar spinnerbaits. _________________
