While fishing in the Thames last weekend I caught a fish that I've never seen. Talked with a few old timers who have been fishing that area forever and showed them a picture they also have no clue and have never seen anything like it. Im currently having problems getting the picture to download but will work on getting it out tomorrow. The fish had a pinkish tint to it and dark black markings all along the body and the mouth was located like a sharks mouth, the fish was about 12 inches long and had large scales. |

Welcome aboard, ugottowait!
I've never caught one, but it sounds like a creek chub, to me:

Welcome! Northern kingfish have been confusing a lot of people this year! Warm water seems to have brought them and spot into the sound. More typically a mid -Atlantic catch. _________________ RNA - It's in my blood.
