Some of the seabass came on a specific bucktail i bought via ebay tipped with squid.
We clean fish as we go and keep the carcass for the Game Warden if they ever stop us.So as we were cleaning the fish we were checking the bellies to c what they were feeding on and using that for bait.
The stripers we caught had Mantis shrimp in its stomach we cut that up and caught sea bass.
The Sea Bass had Winkles, baby lobsters and clams in there bellies all were used and produced fish.

The weatherman couldn't have been more wrong we went out in shorts and tee shirts because they called for hazy hot and humid but what we got was low to mid 60's with wind, rain, and fog. Overpaid idiots!!
But a great day of fishing none the less we have figured out the Sea Bass haunts and what the like and don't like. They are now a targetable species for us and we don't have to worry about chasing non existent fluke to fill the freezer for the winter. _________________ Ladies and gentleman take my advice.... pull down your pants and slide on the ice. |

People would kill to be in the wrong spot ,catching like we were.I have never had issues on SW except for when the water decides to stand up like its the race. _________________ The King of Long Island Sound. |

Thanks for the insight Mako. I thought it was still a little early. My brother is right most recreational guys would give their left arm to duplicate the numbers and sizes we are doing on the weekends. The old man is coming in this weekend from Kentucky for a little fishing R&R. We will most likely head that way for the bigger numbers. _________________ Ladies and gentleman take my advice.... pull down your pants and slide on the ice. |

I have fished with Quint for over 20 years. Even when we were kids he caught big numbers. IF he said He caught big numbers, there is no question about it.
He will only take what he needs from the waters. Everything else will be let go.
So please take that into consideration before you question his Banner days _________________ www.reelcrazysportfishing.com
