|
|
Today I went and tried out this tiny little pond across from where I work on Rt 44 in Millerton, NY.
I tried it once in the middle of summer a few years back from like 20 mins. without any bites.
Today I said "what the hell..."
To make it short and sweet... here are the stats:
Fished for about 90 mins
sequence of events:
1st fish - LMB roughly 2lbs on Xrap Rapala
2nd,3rd and 4th fish - 1 good size and 2 smaller Pickeral on Spin n' Image
5th fish - LMB roughly 2lbs on spin n' Image
Time - 7 - 8:30 pm
Water Temp - no idea - but a shallow little pond not sure how deep in middle... looked kinda deep...
Lyman showed up at the end to say hey and give a cast... not much luck when he showed up. Kinda like they decided they had enough for one day.
Anyway - Seems like they have gotten much more active from 2 weeks ago...
Sorry no pics... nothing worthy enough... _________________ ~ Marc

Nice job Marc, remember the fishing pressure level for a small pond is less forgiving than the big bodies of water therefore it will seem like someone hit a light switch when the action goes from non-stop bites at one moment to nothing at all the next. Just gotta let them rest and/or try different baits/presentation to have them keep playing.
