I checked it today, ice was around 2" or a tad more. There were a bunch of holes off the launch. Be careful down towards the island is still open water.
Few more cold nights can't hurt. _________________ Bite on my line. |

It's not quite there yet. The sun actually melted some ice today. _________________ Kira

I stopped by there today no one fishing. Looks like open water not too far out. A couple more really cold nights wouldn't hurt! |

i was there today during a little scouting mission.
this was my first attempt at ice fishing and wanted to try out my new toys.
i had a partner with me, but was honestly a little scared to walk any farther than around 50 feet out from the boat ramp.
i made 2 holes and measured the ice was between 4 and 5 inches thick.
jigged gulp baits for about a half an hour.
no takers.
was hoping some of the more familiar ice fisherman could help me out and let me know where the generally known drop offs and deep water spots are. |
