fished with a friend at silver this morning- 4:30am-10:30am
water was like glass to start but within about 45mins it started to get windy but not major.
fished around in the weeds just under the surface mostly along with the shoreline and pads. using senko, fluke, powerworms and other various baits.
nothing worked except the power worms today, picked up 8 total, 4 each. and missed ALOT of others unless they were the same fish over and over again hitting and running with the bait then in that case we missed ALOT of those same few fish.
later guys,
p.s. has anyone seen pickeral around? i knw that sometimes you just want to go for bass, but it's great to have a back up fish when the bass are slow and lately theres been no pickeral either..................... |

Well, on the pickerel front, a friend and I both caught about a 3 pounder, along with a few smaller ones at Quonnipag this morning. Was hoping for more bass action. |

i think the pickies tend to become much less active when the water hits 80 plus.... _________________ I love rippin on the river!

djmon, how was the weed situation at Silver? I'm sure by now that place has got to be matted over pretty bad. _________________ Eat, Sleep, Fish......I Love my SKEETER ZX225!!!
