Wanted to get out to Long Sand Sat AM but small craft warnings kept us in the Ct River. About 2 it calmed down enough to get to Long Sand for some spotty blue fishing (to 6 lbs.). On the way back we glassed the area just off Saybrook jetty to see the blues boiling and the baitfish jumping everywhere. I could actually see baitfish going under the boat with blues in hot persuit. Small rapallas were inhaled by blues every other cast. It was a blast for 45 min then poof. For a day that started out with a small craft advisory it turned out pretty good. The sun never missed a beat. All fish released. _________________ Ed Panzella
