There were a lot of good fishermen that did very poor. Conditions were tough I think there were only 3 or 4 limits. It was extremely well organized event with zero wating in line for boats,weigh-in. or food. I was very surprised at how well this tourney was run. They need to rent out the park more often! |

BoSox caught a dink for us. I missed one with bad line or a bad knot. Other than that, it was a tough day. We tried a lot of things to try to one in the boat, but as Ryan said, many people were stumped. Totally agree with Ryan that the event was run extremely well and I was just happy to be a part of it.
Congrats to Chuck...he didn't walk away empty-handed. He picked up a custom rod in the customer appreciation drawing. |

Wan't that your rod Jed?
The tournament was very well put together, my only complaint though... we had a delay due to fog, but they way in time was the same. I figured they would have pushed back the weigh in. But, the way it went anyways, I guess it wouldn't have mattered. _________________ Yankees Suck!

Was a well run tournament indeed....have to thank Al Guite, Sylvia Morris and the rest of the CBFN tournament crew that helped run the event. IF you haven't been to a CBFN tournament lately - that was a snapshot of how the new federation nation tournaments are run.
As far as fog delays, it is customary not to extend the hours. Everyone is still on a level playing field...I have many a tournament when the tide I needed floated away while waiting for the fog to lift. I was actually suprised it was gone b4 8!!!
My partner and I managed a small limit good enough for 7th place...was a tough day indeed. It wasn't until our 7th fish that we caught a fish on the same bait, was just one of those days.
Glad the rain held off so everyone could enjoy the weigh in and festivities. _________________ Roll Tide Roll!! |

Yeah it was a very well ran event. Probably the best one I have ever fished in CT.
The rod I won in the raffle was custom made by Al Cappy and is pretty sweet! |
