Went out yesterday after work with my typical fishing partner to a pond in Darien that we have access to, Raymond Pond. When we got there (about 5:30) there were pretty strong winds and keeping the canoe in one place required the anchor. We typically like to let the wind take us but it was too strong. Within about 5 minutes or so of being on the water I got my first hit in a tangle of weeds. This is the first catch of the day...
We hung out near the eastern edge as that was where the wind was pushing and came up with several more LMB about the same size.....
My buddy....
The water was pretty murky due to all of the rain we had but not too mucky. Within about an hour and a half or so the wind died down and we were able drift and work coastlines.
Total bag for 2 1/2 hours of fishing = 26 LMB, all about the size shown. We were using Zoom "Creepy Crawler Tail" in pumpkin. These always hit tons of bass.
