A buddy and I hit the Pequonnock in an area he said produces during the fall and winter. He had an extra pair of waders for me to wear so we could cover plenty of water. He had his little 5 footer with an older Quantum reel and 4 pound Trilene. I was using my 5' Fenwick Eagle II with the Fierce 2000 and 6 pound Sufix Siege.
As we made our way downstream, he threw a light chartreuse Rooster Tail that landed him a 15" rainbow about 2 pounds.
Later as I headed back upstream I landed a 13.75" rainbow just over a pound on the HJ-6.
As we kept heading upstream, I got a quick "bam bam" on the HJ-6 and the buddy landed another 15" rainbow about 2 pounds.
Once it was getting close to sunset we headed back to the car.
