Wednesday afternoon I fished the private lake from 1:45pm til 5:45pm.
The 4cm silver shad Jointed Shad Rap didn't see much attention this time. All that happened with that lure was 1 hit.
The 6cm custom painted X-Rap Shad Shallow that I've been throwing caught me 2 bass and lost 2.
Then switched over to a 7cm firetiger Original Floater. Lost a bass with it and caught another.
Moved over to the spot that I caught the 14 ounce bluegill at and things were good.
Caught another 3 largemouths, 1 yellow perch, and 5 bluegills.
Once a passing shower moved through and winds picked up, the bite shut down.
All bass were in the 1 to 2 pound range. All bluegills were chubby 9"ers that weighed 12 and 13 ounces. The perch was a small keeper.
2 bass that were caught with the Original Floater hit it on the surface in a small shallow cove with some structure.. |
