Hey guys my buddy and i hit up the pond yesterday with high hopes lets just say it payed off . First we started on shore my buddy threw a wacky rig witch he then ended up throwing all day and he got nothing from shore. While i was throwing a black strike king mini pro buzzbait and got a fairly large bluegill but it didnt count for our limit.
Then off we were on the boat we worked mostly the whole pond with only an hour to fish and i caught 5 bass and 4 bluegills on the buzzbait burning right through shoreling structure. I even got a solid 3 pounder. I also caught 2 keepers on a wacy rigged 4 inch ebay bought no name brand senko. My average weight was about 2 lbs. I even hooked a monster which i thought was a 4lber on a wacky rig but could not land him. It seemed like the fish were biteing better when it started raining i caught 3 in a row while there was a passing shower.
MY buddy used a yamasenko and caught 6 bass with it. includeing a nice 2.7 lber
. Only 4 were keepers than we headed into shore when my mom was suppose to pick me up but she was running late so i threw a buzzbait and bang on my 5th cast i get a nice bite and i reel in a 1lb but right next to shore i see a 4lber following him and bam The 4lber tryed to eat him but luckily i saved the 1lbers life |

I've had that same thing happen at the small ponds I fish. A 2+ pounder follows a smaller 1 pounder or smaller and grabs the tail. But I eventually land the smaller bass. |
