After leaving Bunnells Pond I hit the Pequonnock at the Wonderland of Ice.

At my usual first stop is where I threw a few small Rapalas before getting into a bite with the Strike King Mr Crappie Lightning Shad.

As the evening went on and I used the Strike King as a slow sinking jerkbait, the first stop produced 2 redbreasts between 6 and 7", 2 bass no bigger than 7", and a 10" 10 ounce crappie. Had what was either another nice crappie or a cookie cutter slam the Strike King. Redbreasts kept attacking it too. 1 other fish was a new personal worst 2" crappie.

Once the bite had slowed down I hit my other usual spot which produced 1 6" redbreast, 3 bass from 2" to 5", and another 10" 10 ounce crappie. Twice I saw what looked like a crappie come up and go back down as the Strike King would pass by it in the same spot.

The crappie were hanging out right near the bottom and it seemed like they'd hit the lure if it went right by them. Bugs were active. The 2 10" crappie and the 7" bass were fun on the ML setup vs fish of the same size in Bunnells Pond.
