fished from 6:45-8:45am and picked up 5 lmb. all around 1-2.5lbs and all fish caught in the 1st hour... need to get out earlier!
picked up the 1st one on a buzzbait off the weeds in the southern end. fished a lot in the weeds with a frog and not one strike.
headed to the deep weed edge (surprise surprise), headed up the western shore and picked up the rest on a jig.
nothing on the northern end and spots on the way back on the eastern shore.
great morning of fishing and a great way to get the day started!!! |

i used to fish this place a lot more when i got up early and fished before work. just can't get myself motivated to do that the past couple of years...
gorton's is another good little place to fish.
powers' is beautiful and quiet but i never seem to catch many or big fish there.
if fished dodge once and caught a bunch of little ones there. |
