FYI; Northwest Sporting Goods, at 178 Rowley St., in Winsted, Ct. will be open for business on April 10th.
Hours:
M-F 6:30 - 5:30
Sat. 6:30 - 4
Sun. 6:30 - 12:00

I'm going to stick with the small guy. He has bait that doesn't die right away. And I like the small guy. He will order anything for you and the prices are cheaper than walmart. Fishermans cove on route 8 in wisted. Has and always will get my busuiness. Anybody can start up a bait shop but not everyone knows fishing like glenn and he's not afraid to put you on to some great fishing spots.

Hi
Well NW Sporting Goods is a local hometown small guy.
IT'S NOT A big Box store like Dick's or Cabela's or Gander Mountain.
Though GM is the only store found to carry leeches 
Everyone has their favorite bait shop, "BUT IT'S ONLY FAIR" to give a new small guy a chance and not condem him right off the bat

What brought that on?
Just indicating that the new guy may have more in the way of tackle to offer then a fellow you patronize.
Always nice to have an alternative source for bait and tackle
