Hi Guys!
Well my fishing buddy and I where TOTALY AMAZED today!
We went to West Twin and had the entire lake to ourselves from 9 AM to 3 PM.
Beautiful sunny day and hardly any wind !
Ice averaged 8 to 11 inches.
The Ice was "Seriously Talking" all day -> popping, cracking, and booming with ice expansion.
A few times right under the bucket I was sitting on.
For anyone unfamiliar with how ice acts and sounds when expanding it would definetly raise the hairs on the back of your neck!
Something you really have to understand and get use to.
We caught lots of dink perch, 3 big pickerel, and a few JUMBO perch -> enough for a good meal !
All in all a super day out on the ice
Best regards,

Good Times Sea Dog!
Im headed to the NW corner, probably Sunday. no lake or partner picked yet. I had a hunch there would be better ice in CT's icebox.
Surprised you didn't catch any pickerel or bass, as they like the west side. |
