Fished Saturday with two friends. Fished Niantic Bay by the red bell buoy. Started off slow, but once the tide turned the action picked up. We managed 11 keepers for the three of us. The water was very dirty after the tide change.

You probably seen me there. We started at two tree, but it wasn't long b4 the bite died when the tide went slack. Moved out to Bartletts to find the wall of dirty water comin in so headed back to niantic. Hit one b4 the water went dirty and that was that. Nice catch though.

As much as I've fished that area for the past several years, I've never tried fluking. I see all the boats targeting them and I'll occasionally catch one by accident . The flounder I caught as a kid in VA and the OBX was generally surf fishing with bottom rigs when nothing else was around. They were small and not much fun. Maybe I should give it a go, though I'd have to admit I have no real clue how to fish them other than drift along with a jig and belly strip or something similar. Hope the water clears back up soon!
