Hi, I am a new member just trying to figure out how this site works. My name is Jamie K. I currently live in Essex, but spent the majority of my life fishing out of Branford, specifically Stoney Creek.
My brother, Mike, and I own a company called Connecticut Angler LLC. The company promotes saltwater fishing tournaments in the Sound. Mike is a commerecial fisherman who fishes for bunker, shad, clams, horshoe crabs, lobsters and anything else the Sound will give up. I am a former banking executive who has traded the Board Room for the deck of a boat.
I look forward to sharing reports and other communications with all the members of CTFISHTALK. |

Welcome Aboard Jamie !!!! can i borrow 5 bucks Thanks. I'm a Commercial fisherman to so i could use the money to fish more !!! If your shop was a little closer i would stop by. Maybe on my way to NY next time.
As far as giving up the board room for the deck of a boat goes, that has it's rewards. One that comes to mind is on the deck of a boat you can see that big wave coming and the inevitable deep trough that follows.
Again Welcome aboard.

Thanks for the warm welcomes. As far as future posts I hope to at least weekly report on the bait fish in the Sound, west of Madison. As of this writing Mike reports heavier concentrations of bunker in East Norwalk and Greenwhich. |
