I think bantam is one of the better lakes in that neck of the woods for pike no?
i know winchester has them. i didnt think highland did. Have you tried mansfield res or the CT river for them? what are you throwing? I dont fish for pike so i cant offer you much help but they are out there and guys catch them.

From what I have heard and read, it becomes very tough to get decent size pike in the summer due to abundant bait fish and going deep for cooler temp. But as hoppy said, mansfield res and CT river are also rated well for pike.

You could also buy "CT Lakes and ponds fisheries guide" book. It will tell you average size and abundance of all game fish in over 300 lakes in ponds in CT. And from my experiences it has been very accurate and helpful. Its my Bible!

Go to Bantam first. Trust me, Bantam is the best pike fishery in the state. Go early and fish shallow weeds. Deep edges in the afternoon.

I caught that one at Bantam, but don't really use topwater for them. Find the largest live bait you can get. For lures, big in-line spinners and spoons.

Bantham is definitely the place to fish for pike.

I've caught big pike on really big Rapala Husky Jerks in the spring/summer and I usually catch them on live bait through the ice in the winter time.
