Bantam, Mt Tom pond, Ball Pond? Anyone been out or know the thickness. With -5 to -10 last night should have substantial ice.

Fished Tom 3 days ago, 4.5 inches in beach area, guys were all over the lake near 202 also.

Ball was not safe for 3 days ago, nobody out. It could be ok now, it gad a late freeze over and thickness varied from spot to spot.

Bantam, Ton of guys been out the last 2 weeks. South Bay, other areas.

Lot of guys out on bantam and all catching pike but doesn't sound like too many. Heard a report from ball but it was awhile ago and he said its getting there so possibly frozen now but don't take my word on it and got no clue on mt tom but I'd take what egriff said and probably add another 2 inches by now. Be safe when you go and good luck!

Just drove by BP 5 mins ago. Lots of people on the shallow southern end. Nobody where I like to go on the north end. I'll wait 2 weeks and give it a shot.

Egriffen1970... Did you or anyone else catch anything at Mt. Tom?

The salmon are great in the winter. They cruise right under the ice in search of plankton. you don't fish deep water like trout for slamon.

oops..... just gave up the secret! go get em boys and girls!

The nortrh end where its deep?

The middle is the deepest.

I found this in case you or any one else was interested on how tight the depths are etc

Caught 2 salmon about 10 feet below ice this year so far. Best one around 4lbs. They were caught with sawbellies that I was able to get at valley angler. The salmon had been gorging on them.

It fish bowls right past the bass flats. I caught good trout right at he drop off before it goes to deep water. The rainbows though will cruise all the way toward the launch in the shallows under the ice.
