|
|
Met up with the Karate Kid at Upper Moodus this mornign in hopes of a frog bite! We were on the water by 7:30, and the water was 73ish. Surprisingly we couldnt buy a topwater bite early. So we beat shore for a while and managed 15 or so fish with some in the 2.5 range. We fianlly said around noon that we didnt come here to use spinning rods
Brought out the froggin sticks and went to work, was slow for about an hour then it took off. We easily caught 20+ fish on the frog, but I got the biggones Many fish in the 2-3 lb range a couple others that were easily three mixed in. Was getting my a$$ kicked until we brought out the frogs..i still ended up getting beat in ##'s but ill take the big girls
If you dont know, this is HEAVEN to me...well, close its not Champlain.
5 lbs 1oz
Saying goodbye!!!
5lbs 9oz
BYE!!
We each broke a rod today :mad1: mine as i was swingin the big one into the boat...CRACK. Luckily i had her up and in by then...dumb move by me! Karate Kid's rod snapped under different circumstances _________________ Well....I guess I'm here too! |

Mostly the spro bronzeye 65's, but if i need somethng a bit bigger or heavier i use the river2see bully wa croaker
RARELY, do i use the kicker frogs (horny toad, sizmic etc) they are too fast for my liking, i fish a frog VERRRY slow _________________ Well....I guess I'm here too! |
