Went out Sunday and the water was very dirty. I threw a castmaster with red tube and got a blue. First of the season for me. I went out the 29th and got skunked. I was throwing plugs and a point jude butterfish metal. Yesterday, I went back and threw plugs, metals, and soft plastic. I caught a sea robin on the metal. Which in my opinion, is not the scourge of the sea. It fights pretty hard. I catch and release, so it is not a matter of eating. I eventually caught a flounder on the soft plastic with jig. I'm not sure if flounder is the correct term. Could be fluke, this time of year? |

Most likely a fluke. Winter flounder are not predatory and almost all have migrated to cooler water. A fish on is a fish on, right? |
