| Anyone ever punch holes in Messerschmidt?? Debating on heading down there... never seen ice fished it, but have caught decent bass in the canoe. |

| I live close to Messerschmidt and Ice fish often. I'm fishing for panfish most of the time but good bass and crappie are caught. |

May venture down there Sunday... Maybe Ill see ya out there.
Ive fished it from canoe and kayak, and have a few spots in mind . I have not yet seen a crappie come thru the ice this year, but would do the irish jig if I caught a few down there!!! they are my fav FW fish in the pan.
If you are down there, look for the dude with the jet sled with big yellow sticker on it, and jiffy gas-auger buzzin. probably wearin a camo coat if its real cold.
stop over and have a cup of coffee. |
