Unfortunately, I think the drawdown of Rainbow Dam has hurt the fishing on the lower Farmington River. Dawg and I got absolutely nothing there last Saturday. In fact, the only hit I got was a 16 inch smallie from a laydown just inside the south channel of the mouth of the river that released itself at the boat. It is, however, still a nice, if vigorous, paddle.
