Fished Lilli yesterday for the whole day, trying new things, but occasionally throwing the usual go-to baits. The weather was odd, muggy as hell on and off throughout the day and an sprinkle of rain here and there...then downpour at the end of the day about an hour before dark. Water temps varied as much as 10 degrees from one side of the channel (and lake) to the other. As expected, the water level was down around 5 feet, but throughout the day would move without any consistency. Unexpectedly though, there were still pleasure boaters out there, one of which was on a course to drive right through me while I was fishing, until turning away a short distance from my boat...stupid women drivers!!! Didn't catch any giants, but had a field day with the bonanza of white perch and crappy on a dropshot. Not much else going on with low water and no current. |
