I'm trying to fish some of the neglected smaller water in my area this fall so I threw the jon boat on the truck and got to "lake X" at 11:30. I brought four rods but started throwing (you guessed it) the jig (green pumkin...make my own). Landed a fat little 1 1/2 lber and another ten minutes later. After some down time a 2 1/2 lber smacked it. Went dead for an hour or so then set on a 2 lber. I finally made my way to the windward side of the lake/pond (50 acres) and shortly after a 6+ lber was on. Man, what a nice fish. Three flips later a 5 lber ate it. Then nothing, but I'm not complaining. Left at 3:30. Can't get a bass boat in these smaller waters and I'm a little stiff but I'm going again tomorrow. |

Damn right a stiff back is worth 2 like that. Wish I was going with you today, instead family obligations loom large. Nice job on the piglets. _________________ Bite on my line. |

Awesome job jigman! Sounds like the trip was worth lugging the cartopper in and out of the water. _________________ Eat, Sleep, Fish......I Love my SKEETER ZX225!!!
