Stopped by keeney cove today for a couple quick casts. There was some good action, but unfortunately I couldn't land anything. I lost a 12" LMB at the shore, and I had two LARGE pike break me off in the submerged brush and wires. I knew they were big pike because of the way they just slowly swam into the snags, and how they wouldn't respond to any pressure I put on them with my wimpy medium action rod with 10lb floro. I also saw a guy pull out a bowfin around 20", put up a nice fight. I wish I had brought my kayak.
Meanwhile, my dad is up at Ossipee catching pig smallmouth...

He goes up there every year with his friends. I would go, but I have exams the week they go each year. I'll be able to go when I'm in college and exams are at the end of may. _________________ Catch and release only.
